Chocolate Sauce
Ingredients
Preparation time: 2 minutes
Cooking time: 10 minutes
Makes: 1 ½ cups
2 tablespoons cornflour
1/4 cup cocoa
2 tablespoons cold water
1 cup hot water
1/4 cup CSR Caster Sugar
25 g butter
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
Method
In a small saucepan blend the cornflour and cocoa with the cold water to make a smooth paste. Stir in the hot water, caster sugar and butter. Stir over a medium heat until the mixture boils and thickens, about 8 minutes. Add the vanilla and stir in.
Cool and store in the refrigerator. The Sauce may need to be warmed if it sets too hard in the fridge.
