Fruit Kebabs

Ingredients

2 Large Bananas (not over ripe)
2 Apples
1 Large Pineapple
125g Butter
Juice of 1 Lemon
1/4 Cup CSR Brown Sugar
1/2 Cup Rum

Method

1 : Peel bananas and cut into chunks about 2.5cm long. Core apples and cut into cubes. Peel pineapple, cut into thick
rounds and then into bite-sized wedges.
2 : Thread fruits onto skewers, alternating bananas, apples and pineapples pieces.
3 : Meanwhile heat butter, lemon juice and CSR Brown Sugar in a saucepan, stirring until sugar melts. Brush mixture
over fruits, covering all surfaces.
4 : Cook on barbecue grill over medium hot coals for 5 to 10 mins., turning frequently and basting as needed. Place on
heated serving platter.
5 : Warm rum in saucepan, pour over fruits, set alight and serve immediately.

Comments

Tip :An interesting variation is to sprinkle the fruits with toasted chopped macadamia nuts and toasted shredded
coconut after cooking.
