Date and Walnut slice
Ingredients
1 cup self raising flour
3/4 cup CSR White Sugar
1 cup dates
1 cup walnuts
125g butter
1 egg
Method
Mix flour, dates and walnuts together in a bowl. Beat egg and sugar together, then melt butter and combine all ingredients. Press into a sponge rool tin/slice tray and cook in moderate oven at 180°C for about 20 minutes.
Comments
Try not to overcook, as this mixture will tend to go dry.
