Chocolate slice
Ingredients
1 1/4 cups of cornflour and rice flour mixed together, half and half
1 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
2 flat dessertspoons cocoa
1/2 cup of CSR White Sugar
175g margarine
1 drop of vannila essense
1 dessertspoon CSR Golden Syrup
Chocolate icing:
1/2 cup CSR Icing Sugar
2 tablespoons cocoa
1 teaspoon margerine
1 teaspoon hot water
Mix together just prior to icing slice.
20 x 30 cm shallow tin, greased
Method
In a bowl mix together flour, baking powder and cocoa,
then stir in sugar.
Put butter, essence and golden syrup in a suacepan & stir over a low heat until margerine melts. Mix in with the dry ingredients then press evenly into the greased tin. Bake for twenty minutes at 180°:C.
When cold spread with the chocolate icing.
