Caramel Square
Ingredients
Base:
4oz butter
4oz CSR White Sugar
1 egg
8oz flour
Caramel:
1/2 tin condensed milk
1 Tbls CSR Golden Syrup
1 Tbls CSR Soft Brown Sugar
2oz butter
Dessertspoon cornflour
Method
Base:
Cream butter & sugar. Add egg then dry sifted ingredients.
Bake in a moderate oven at 180 degrees centigrade for 15-20 minutes.
Caramel:
In a saucepan, cook over low heat until thick.
Spread over base and set aside to cool.
When cool, ice with chocolate icing.
