Caramel Slice
Ingredients
BASE:
125g BUTTER
1 EGG
1 TABLESPOON COCOA
1 TEASPOON BAKING POWDER
1/2 CUP CSR White Sugar
1 1/4 CUPS FLOUR
PINCH SALT
CENTRE FILLING:
75g BUTTER
3/4CUPS CSR Soft Brown Sugar
200g CONDENSED MILK
2 TABLESPOONS FLOUR
ICING:
1 CUP CSR Icing Sugar
2 TABLESPOONS COCOA
2 TABLESPOONS HOT WATER
Method
HEAT OVEN TO 180 DEGREES CELCIUS,GREASE A 30CM TIN .
BEAT BUTTER, SUGAR AND EGG WELL.
SIFT IN FLOUR, COCOA, SALT AND BAKING POWDER.
MIX WELL. SPREAD EVENLY IN TIN AND BAKE FOR 10 MINUTES.
MELT ALL CENTRE FILLING INGREDIENTS IN A POT ,SPREAD EVENLY OVER COOKED BASE IN TIN.PUT BACK IN OVEN AND TURN OVEN OFF .
LEAVE FOR 10 MINUTES ICE WHEN COLD.
