Butterscotch Slice
Ingredients
100g butter
100ml CSR Original Golden Syrup
175g Dried Apricots, chopped
100g Mixed Nuts, (Hazelnuts, Almonds, Brazils), chopped
75g Raisins
250g Ginger Biscuits, crumbed
Method
1 : To make the butterscotch, combine the butter and CSR Original Golden Syrup in a large jug and cook on full
power for 3 mins, stirring well halfway through cooking. Carefully remove the jug from the microwave oven and set
aside.
2 : Mix the apricots, nuts, raisins and biscuit crumbs in a bowl. Pour the butterscotch over and mix well.
3 : Press into a greased 18cm square cake tin and allow to set in the refrigerator for 2 to 3 hours.
Comments
The butterscotch can be cut into squares or triangles to serve.
