Frosted Carrot Cake
Ingredients
225g Self Raising Flour 10ml Baking Powder 10ml Ground Cinnamon 150g CSR Brown Sugar 25g Bran Buds 225g Carrots, peeled and grated 2 Eggs 30ml CSR Original Golden Syrup 150ml Vegetable Oil 1/2 Quantity Seven Minute Frosting
Method
- Grease and base line a 2.5cm (8") round cake tin.
- Mix together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, CSR Brown Sugar, bran buds
and carrot.
- Beat together the eggs, syrup and oil. Stir into the dry ingredients,
beating well.
- Spoon into the prepared tin. Bake in the oven at 180oC (350oF) mark 4 gas,
for about 50 mins. Turn out on to a wire rack to cool.
- Make the seven minute frosting. Swirl over the cake and leave until set
