Almond Shortbread Biscuits
Ingredients
4oz Plain Flour
2oz Havelock Semolina
Pinch of Salt
4oz Butter
2oz CSR White Sugar
CSR Caster Sugar
2oz Ground Almonds
Almond Essence
Method
- Sieve flour, Havelock Semolina and salt.
- Cream butter, CSR White Sugar and a few drops of almond essence until fluffy.
- Stir in dry ingredients and knead together lightly.
- Turn out on board and roll out 1/2 inch thick. Cut into rounds with 2 inch cutter. Prick with fork.
- Bake on lightly greased tray in moderate oven (180oC) until golden. Sprinkle with CSR Caster Sugar Cool on wire tray.
