Cheese Sauce
Ingredients
2 tablespoons soft butter or margarine
2 tablespoons flour
1 cup low fat milk
salt and freshly ground black pepper
½ cup grated tasty cheese
Method
Melt the butter or margarine in a small saucepan. Add the flour and stir with a wire whisk for 1 minute. Remove from heat and whisk in the milk. Return the saucepan to heat and stir until the sauce thickens. Season to taste with salt and freshly ground black pepper and add the grated cheese. Stir until the cheese melts.
Note: This sauce can also be made in the microwave.
This sauce is delicious over cauliflower and broccoli, beans, peas, carrots or a big mixed vegetable combination.
