Asian Style Chicken
Ingredients
Serves: 4
1 Chicken
4cm Piece of Green Ginger, grated
3 Tablespoons Soy Sauce
1 Tablespoon Brandy
1 Tablespoon CSR Brown Sugar
1 Tablespoon Butter
2 Tablespoons Honey
1 Teaspoon Salt, Pepper
Method
1 : Marinate the chicken in the ginger, soy sauce, brandy, CSR Brown Sugar, salt and pepper for at least 3 hours. Roll chicken over in the mixture and allow sauce to enter the chicken.
2 : Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
3 : Place chicken on a wire rack in a baking dish, dot with butter and place in the oven for about 30 mins, basting occasionally. Turn oven to moderate and cook a further 20 mins.
4 : Pour on the honey and cook another 15 mins or until tender. Serve with rice.
