Sweet Walnut French Toast
Ingredients
1 x 60g Egg, lightly Beaten
2 Teaspoons Milk
4 Slices Wholemeal Bread, crusts removed
30g Butter
1 Tablespoon CSR Golden Syrup
100ml Thickened Cream
1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
cinnamon
Cream, to serve
Method
1 : Combine egg and milk in a large bowl, dip each slice of bread in the mixture.
2 : In a large frying pan, heat butter until it bubbles. Add bread, sauté until Golden each side. Remove from pan.
3 : Spread CSR Golden Syrup over toast. Cut each slice into triangles and place on a serving plate. Drizzle with cream
and sprinkle nuts over the top. Lightly dust with cinnamon and serve with Cream or iceCream as a dessert.
